The fox fishing & golf festival 2021
A huge thanks to all those that were part of the fantastic Fox Fishing & Golf Festival last weekend. What a great couple of days and over $47,000 was raised to support Waihi Beach Coastguard and Waihi Beach Lifeguards.

Katikati College Year 13 students - Madeleine (Maddie) Schnackenberg, William Besley and Kieva Dunlop - had their last session three weeks ago sitting their Day Skipper exam. The trio all passed and were acknowledged with the presentation of completion certificates at our 2019 Waihi Beach Coastguard Christmas function.

Mike Hall Rescue is our new fast response jet ski - the result of a generous donation made by the late Judy and Bob Hall in memory of their son Mike.

We recently purchased two new sets of night vision goggles thanks to a donation by OceanaGold Waihi. These will be carried on board AVOCO Rescue and will greatly increase our capabilities while out on the water at night.
